We are pleased to announce that Adam Jasinski, who has served as Affton School Districtโs Director of Technology for the past nine years, with an additional three years serving as network engineer, will be stepping into a new leadership role as Executive Director of Operations. In this expanded role, Adam will continue overseeing technology operations while also taking on additional responsibilities for safety and security, DESE Core Data, and cybersecurity.
At the February 25 Board of Education executive meeting, the Board approved the addition of a third School Resource Officer (SRO) for the 2025-26 school year. This additional SRO will serve both Mesnier Primary and Gotsch Intermediate Schools, as well as Affton Early Childhood, further strengthening safety measures across the district. Given Adamโs growing role in safety and security, the Board also approved his transition to Executive Director of Operations to ensure continued strategic oversight of security initiatives, crisis management, and emergency preparedness.
Before his career in education, Adam served five years as active duty Military Police, overseeing training and emergency response. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this expanded role. His expertise in risk assessment, crisis management, and emergency preparedness will be invaluable as we continue to enhance safety across our schools.
Under Adamโs leadership, we are making several key improvements to campus security and emergency preparedness. These include:
A new Emergency Response and Crisis Management Manual (ERCMM), approved by the Board, to provide clear and consistent protocols for handling emergencies.
School-specific response guides based on the ERCMM, ensuring every school has a plan tailored to its needs, along with regular drills and input from staff, students, and families.
Updated reunification procedures and kits to streamline the process of safely reuniting students with their familiesโwhether on campus or at an off-site location.
โAdam has been a dedicated leader in Affton, playing a key role in advancing our technology infrastructure, enhancing cybersecurity, and ensuring seamless digital learning experiences for students and staff,โ said Dr. Travis Bracht, superintendent. โHis commitment to safety, innovation, and continuous improvement makes him an ideal fit for this expanded leadership position.โ
Please join us in congratulating Adam on this well-earned opportunity! His leadership will be critical as we continue to enhance safety, security, and technology operations across the district.
