Important Calendar Change for December 2020

As we look toward the end of first semester and Winter Break, we have made one modification to the learning schedule for the last day of the semester on Tuesday, December 22. To help ensure equity in the number of at-school days for our In-Person learners and to allow for participation by all students, Tuesday, December 22 will be a virtual learning half-day for all students in grades K-12. Monday, December 21 will remain a virtual learning day for all K-12 students as scheduled.

NEW: Monday, Dec. 21 & Tuesday, Dec. 22

IN-PERSON STUDENTS (GRADES K-12)

  • 100% Distance Learning at Home for all in-person students, Grades K-12.

    • Monday, Dec. 21 will remain an Early Dismissal day for Affton High School.

    • Tuesday, Dec. 22 will remain an Early Dismissal day for all Affton Schools.

  • Building principals will share schedule information in a follow-up email.

VIRTUAL ACADEMY STUDENTS

  • Virtual Academy students will continue learning online from home.

    • Monday, Dec. 21 will remain an Early Dismissal day for Affton High School.

    • Tuesday, Dec. 22 will remain an Early Dismissal day for all Affton Schools.

  • Building principals will share schedule information in a follow-up email.

AFFTON EARLY CHILDHOOD STUDENTS

  • AECC students will continue with their current in-person schedule.

We will continue to keep you informed as we look ahead and evaluate the district calendar as we work to keep our schools and community safe and healthy. As a reminder, classes resume following Winter Break on Tuesday, Jan. 5, and all In-Person learners in Grades K-12 will continue to follow the Fixed Blended schedule.

Thank you for your flexibility and understanding as we continue to navigate this pandemic while supporting your students and each other.
