On Wednesday, Oct. 7, C-SPAN’s Campaign 2016 Bus, a 45-foot interactive, multimedia learning center, made a stop while in the St. Louis area at Affton High School.
Students stepped aboard the bus to learn about the public affairs network’s programs and resources, including its in-depth coverage of the U.S. Congress, White House, federal courts, and the American political process.
“I strongly believe that my students should experience the world beyond the classroom walls as an essential part of growing and learning,” said Tony Muyco, social studies teacher at Affton High School. “The C-SPAN Bus visit was an exceptional opportunity.”
The C-SPAN Campaign 2016 Bus has been traveling the country promoting C-SPAN’s “Road to the White House” series by visiting universities, schools and political events. Aboard the bus, students were invited to learn about C-SPAN’s Campaign 2016 coverage through a campaign app which allows visitors to explore potential presidential candidates, events, and footage from the campaign trail.
