Class of 2015 Finishes Strong

Students in Affton High School’s graduating class of 2015 were awarded 273 scholarships with a monetary value of $6.2 million, breaking the previous school total on record of $4.8 million in 2012.

2015 Senior Class ProfileThe graduates – 186 in all – walked across the stage and received their diplomas during an evening ceremony on May 29. 85 percent of the Class of 2015 will attend 40 different colleges and universities, while 4 percent will enroll in schools of advanced training, 3 percent will serve in the military, and 8 percent will enter the workforce.

In this year’s class, 66 students were awarded 273 scholarships, including eight Missouri Bright Flight Scholarships, 44 scholarships from the Affton community and 13 athletic scholarships.

The class of 2015 also includes 21 President’s Award for Academic Excellence winners, and six new inductees to the Affton Wall of Fame.
