The Affton School District is deeply saddened by the tragedy which claimed the life of Christopher Marks. Chris would have been a seventh grader at Rogers Middle School. The district is working closely with the St. Louis County Police Department, counselors and staff members who are working collectively to support our students and their families.
“While this has been an extremely difficult situation, I am proud and appreciative of how our teachers and staff have pulled together to support the needs of our students. Our parents and the Affton School District community have been extremely supportive,” said Rogers Middle School principal, Jeff Remelius. “We will continue to offer counseling and student assistance as we begin the school year next week.”
Any student, parent or member of the Affton community who would like to speak to a counselor may call Rogers Middle School at 314-351-9679.
A fund has been established to assist the family with expenses. Donations can be made to the Christopher T. Marks Memorial Fund at any PNC Bank location – attention Vicky Carey.
