Garden Club Sees Results

Affton High School’s garden is located across from the Commons’ main entrance.  In the four larger beds, the Garden Club has grown a number of food items: cucumbers, zucchini, yellow squash, cantaloupe, and watermelon.  In some smaller beds, they have grown herbs and mint.  They have even re-purposed old tires to grow tomatoes, peppers and eggplant. The students started the initiative for the garden and it’s membership has increased to approximately 20 members, not including the class of students who water the garden on a regular.  The Gardening Club meets every other Friday in Room 28!
