Through an Affton Education Foundation Grant, Advanced and Intermediate Art students were able to work with artist Chelsea Ritter-Soronen to collaborate and create a mural! They worked together to divide the space and then were give the prompt “Growth”. They each created a design using a word, pattern, or image based on their interpretation of the prompt. Each student then transferred and painted their design in a section of the mural! It represents students’ individual interpretation of growth but also how each of those pieces creates the bigger picture.
